YELENA ARLEDGE, PHYSICIAN ASSISTANT Yelena was born and grew up in Russia. She graduated from medical school in Moscow in 1993 and practiced as an Internal Medicine Physician in Russia until 1997. From 1999 until 2002, she was a medical assistant in a private practice in Walnut Creek, California. In 2002, she started her Physician Assistant studies, which she completed in 2003, receiving her certification from Stanford University. She joined the East Bay Center for Dermatology in March 2005. ROWENA CHENG, R.N. Rowena Cheng, R.N., B.S.N. was born and raised in the Philippines. She was one of 65 students selected from throughout the country for the prestigious Government scholarship program at the University of the Philippines, Philippine General Hospital School of Nursing in Manila. After graduating, she worked for 6 months in an underprivileged area in the Philippines and spent two years as an ER Nurse. In 1978, she immigrated to the U.S. Initially she spent 2 years in Fort Myers, Florida before moving to the Bay Area. She has been a critical care nurse at Stanford University Hospital for the past 23 years. While she continues to enjoy taking care of the critically ill, she finds it a refreshing change to work in an outpatient setting and has been working at the Center For Dermatology, Cosmetic and Laser Surgery since 2003 as one of our laser nurses. She lives in Fremont with her husband who is a Radiologist at Washington Hospital and there two teenage sons. WANDA J. PETRO, BOARD CERTIFIED AESTHETICIAN Wanda is clinically certified with the entire Obagi Skin Health Line which includes the Nu-Derm, C-RX , and Clenziderm Systems and product trained with all our Cosmeceutical skin care lines. She is also trained and has worked extensively with our new DermaSweep Resurfacing System with Epi-Infuse Microdermabrasion, Chemical Peels, Makeup Artistry, Face and Body Hair Removal, specializing and trained using Cirepil professional depilatory wax. She is also certified in effective Skin Analysis, Chemical Peels, Advanced Acne Treatments, Make-Up Artistry and Face and Body Hair Removal specializing in Cirepil depilatory wax. She has attended numerous seminars training on proper care for Pre and Post Laser Treatments and implementing them with our patients. She has been trained with the DermaSweep Resurfacing System and Epi-Infused Microdermabrasion.
